Mannheim. Bilfinger continues to be the leading industrial services provider in Germany - this is the result of the renowned Lünendonk List, which is compiled annually by the market research company Lünendonk & Hossenfelder. For the fourteenth time in a row, the international group, which provides comprehensive services along the entire life cycle of industrial plants for greater efficiency and sustainability, has positioned itself as the number one strategic partner for German industry. With growth of 9.2 percent, Bilfinger was the only company in the ranking to exceed the threshold of €1 billion in domestic revenue.
Bilfinger's outstanding positioning as a full-service provider for the process industry is reflected in the ranking not only in the highest domestic revenue, but also in the competitive benchmarking: in the categories surveyed, maintenance, repair and engineering, the Group was perceived as the most important competitor by the other study participants.

According to the study, the 2021 financial year was characterized by the effects of the Corona pandemic - with catch-up effects due to postponed maintenance projects and a relocation of production sites back to Germany - as well as by the decarbonization of the economy and the associated need for transformation in the conversion to CO2-free production facilities. This dynamic environment continues to offer good growth opportunities for the market leader - the industrial services provider is pursuing the goal of doubling the revenue share from energy transition and climate protection projects from 2021 to 2024. These include, for example, projects to increase energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions, such as the realization of the largest district cooling project in Europe, or the implementation of innovative technologies, for example in the area of hydrogen storage.
