Responsible Corporate Governance
The German Corporate Governance Code (GCGC/”Code”) sets out essential statutory regulations for the management and supervision of German publicly-listed companies (corporate governance) and contains internationally and nationally recognized standards for good and responsible corporate governance. The Code is designed to make the German corporate governance system transparent and comprehensible. It seeks to instill confidence in the management and supervision of German publicly-listed companies among international and national investors, customers, employees and the general public.
Bilfinger supports the goal set out by the the German Corporate Governance Code of enhancing the transparency and comprehensibility of the corporate governance systems and fostering trust among national and international investors, customers, employees and the public in the management and supervision of German publicly-listed companies.
The Code has its legal basis in the Declaration of Compliance pursuant to Section 161 of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG). It is published in the official section of the Federal Gazette in the version relevant for the Declaration pursuant to Section 161 AktG
