Scope:

Bilfinger UK's Project Department were tasked to assist with Project ISOPAR and its purpose to produce a "new family" of solvents that would be used in paints, inks, air fresheners and cosmetics.

Previously the client's UK site had been involved in the initial stages of producing this product, but it was then shipped to one of their international sites for finishing. However, the whole process is now completed at their UK site with the refinery being the leading exporter of the product in Europe.

The site's new Hydrogenation plant is capable of producing 50,000 tonnes of Isopars per year which has been highly profitable for the client.
