Bilfinger was responsible for the detailed planning and execution of maintenance work in Yara's ammonia plant (NII) in Porsgrunn, Norway. The plant´s shut down for an extensive turnaround every four years. With 400 colleagues (half of them from Bilfinger, half of them from contractors), Bilfinger delivered about 50,000 man hours of mechanical, rotating, insulation, piping/welding, transport/crane/rig, valve overhaul, electrical, automation/instrument, construction, industrial masonry and inspection services.
