Hi, my name is Kahly Roose and for the last few months, I have been enhancing my professional skills at Bilfinger Engineering as a part of the Service Unit team. My journey was undoubtedly filled with excitement, challenges and invaluable experiences. This is why I am glad to share my experience at Bilfinger and its impact on my professional growth.
I am currently pursuing a Management Assistant degree. Navigating through different internship opportunities can often feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. However, after spotting Bilfinger at an internship fair and having a chat, I knew I wanted to further develop my professional skills here. What set this opportunity apart was that the tasks and responsibilities resonated with me and fit what I was looking for.
During this internship, I had a diverse array of responsibilities, each of them contributing to improving my skill set and understanding the professional landscape. From managing the pool car reservations to handling purchase orders, organizing lunches and fostering interpersonal communication among colleagues, my role embodied versatility and adaptability. Moreover, Bilfinger listened to my interests when they allowed me to use my creativity to create posters and write news reports for the local quarterly newsletter.
One of the cornerstones of my journey at Bilfinger has been personalized mentorship and support received from my manager. It not only empowered me to excel in daily tasks but also instilled a sense of value and belonging with the company, transcending the traditional intern-employee division.
