Accumulator for
Fossil-Free Energy Production

Göteborg Energi
Göteborg
Göteborg Energi chose us to build a new accumulator tank in Skarvikshamnen, near the Rya Combined Heat and Power Plant. The project encompassed everything from planning to completion under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) solution.
The tank, with a capacity of 23,474 m³, is a crucial component in phasing out fossil fuels and stabilizing district heating in Gothenburg. It allows for energy storage during low demand and its use during high load periods, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions and contributes to smoother operation of the facility. This marks an important step towards fossil-free district heating in the city.
