Training courses

IRATA training

IRATA is an organization with a proven safe method for working at height. We are a proud member of IRATA and have been an IRATA certified training center for over 10 years. In our training center in Bergschenhoek we offer training for IRATA level 1, 2 and 3. Partly due to the atmosphere within the organization and the quality of our trainers, the success rate is well above 95%.

IRATA refresh training

An IRATA certificate is valid for three years, but if you haven’t climbed for more than 6 months according to your logbook it is necessary to take a refresh course (otherwise your certificate is not valid). This way you can refresh your IRATA techniques within one day and when you’re finished you can safely work at height according to the IRATA guidelines again.

Safety comes first. The first step in working safely at height is therefore to become aware of the risks and dangers at height. Rescue at height

And what do you do after a rescue? During our rescue at height training you will get the answers to these questions and a lot of practice.

Net Zero Approach recognized as outstanding solution in the area of Energy Transformation
Bilfinger’s comprehensive approach enables increased efficiency and sustainability along the entire value chain for companies in the energy-intensive process industry

Berlin, Germany. Becoming the number one for customers in enhancing efficiency and sustainability – that is what the industrial services provider Bilfinger promises. The company is now demonstrating how it is already turning this vision into reality: With solutions like their Net Zero Approach, which is a unique, comprehensive approach that enables customers in the process industry to achieve a sustainable transformation towards Net Zero. The outstanding innovative strength of this approach has now been recognized at the Sustainability Congress 2024 in Berlin.

The Net Zero Approach was developed by Bilfinger to help customers in the process industry achieve greater efficiency and sustainability along the entire value chain. Based on this approach, Bilfinger designs a customized roadmap for and with their customer to achieve their individual net-zero targets. This involves defining measures to increase energy efficiency, integrate renewable energies and optimize operations in alignment with operational processes. Clients thereby benefit from Bilfinger’s best practices and in-depth expertise, gained from decades of working with industrial customers, particularly in the Energy, Chemical & Petrochemical, Pharma & Biopharma, and Oil & Gas sectors.

At Berlin’s Sustainability Congress 2024, which is presented annually by the Berlin Institute Supply Chain Management, Bilfinger’s innovative approach was now recognized as one of the most outstanding sustainability solutions in Germany: With its Net Zero Approach, the company is ranked among the finalists of this year's Sustainability Championship Award in the area of Energy Transformation. The award recognizes innovative concepts and solutions that contribute to a measurable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and the transition to green energy sources.

“Our award honors companies whose expertise and commitment contributes to shaping a sustainable future, thus setting an important example for the future viability of Germany as a business location,” says jury member Dr. Hajo Drees, Berlin Institute Supply Chain Management. “Bilfinger’s Net Zero Approach very successfully demonstrates how we can apply the innovative strength in companies to pave the way for a sustainable future. We are therefore delighted to congratulate Bilfinger as one of the finalists for the Sustainability Championship Award 2024.”

With its modular structure from single services to all-in-one solutions, which are precisely tailored to the respective target industry, Bilfinger’s Net Zero Approach is unique. “We support our customers in achieving their sustainability goals from the initial business idea all the way to project implementation,” explains Maja Vrcelj, Business Development Manager Net Zero at Bilfinger. “Our approach has been tested across numerous projects benefitting individual plants and large-scale operators alike. We’ve witnessed energy savings, reduced emissions and enhanced sustainability performance. We are very excited that the jury of the Sustainability Championship Awards has recognized the value of our approach.”

The Net Zero Approach consists of three linear main phases: the development of a Net Zero roadmap, the design and implementation of identified measures (Design & Build) and the maintenance of these measures (Operate & Maintain). Throughout these phases, Bilfinger experts in Europe, North America and the Middle East provide customers with comprehensive support.

Alongside Bilfinger, this year’s Sustainability Congress also highlighted the commitment of Schott AG, Mercedes-Benz Group AG and Thyssenkrupp Materials Services, among others. Fresenius Kabi was announced as the winner of the Sustainability Championship Award in the area of Energy Transformation. During the annual congress, representatives from the industry meet with politicians, scientists and innovators to discuss and promote sustainability. Keynotes, discussions and best-practice presentations provide a unique platform for knowledge sharing and networking.
