Our NDT Technician, Diana Strausa joined our Esbjerg team six months ago and has shared her experience so far.
Q1: What does your job role involve?
A1: I inspect welds and structural parts using Non-Destructive methods. I also deliver rope access inspection and often assist with radiography, which is a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method that uses ionising radiation.
Q2: What do you enjoy about working for Bilfinger?
A2: I enjoy working with our great international team. Within our team there are people that travel regularly from as far as Philippines, Thailand and Brazil for projects. It's a great place to work and you feel like a valued member of the team.
Q3: What advice would you give to someone wanting to follow your career path?
A3: In this industry you need to be flexible and adaptable because things are always changing. If you like to have things planned and set in stone this field might not be for you but its never too late to change direction in life.
Q4: What are your future career ambitions?
A4: I live every day in the now, so I do not like to set future aspirations as I like to see what new opportunities and adventures each day will bring.
