Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Opportunities for Graduates:
Mechanical, Structural, Civil And Chemical Engineering
We will offer the above-selected students the opportunity to complete a two-year EIT programme in the Mechanical field.
Academic requirements to qualify:
- To be considered for our EIT programme in 2025, the student should be able to provide proof of successful completion of:
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. Structural Engineering
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. Civil Engineering
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. Chemical Engineering
- All academic results will be considered for shortlisting purposes.
Other requirements:
- During the EIT programme Graduates will be required to visit various sites, mainly in Mpumalanga and Gauteng Provinces, and a valid driver’s licence would therefore be advantageous.

Candidates will be subject to a selection process.

- Induction and medicals
- Essential skills training
- Technical training
- ECSA registration
Rotation within various departments:
- Mechanical
- Piping and Drawing Office
- Commissioning
- Maintenance
- Workshop/s
Monthly evaluation, report and presentation
- Other tasks
NB: Travelling to various power stations will be expected of the incumbent.
Year 2
- Introduction to welding and safety
- Application of knowledge learned in year 1
- Quarterly evaluations
- Rotation to different sites
