Trends in Asset Management 2025
Efficiency &
Sustainability
The industry is facing major challenges in a volatile world with geopolitical conflicts, inflation, a shortage of skilled workers, increasing laws and regulations and the need for greater sustainability. These trends increase the demand for more energy efficiency, reduction of complexity, modernization through digitalization and well-trained experts.
The annual congress Trends in Asset Management 2025, that took place on January 30th, 2025, therefore focused on these two themes; Efficiency & Sustainability
Unique collaboration
This edition of Trends in Asset Management 2025 was special because it was the first edition under the joint Bilfinger flag following the acquisition of Stork by Bilfinger. The program detailed the added value of this acquisition in the perspective of the theme of efficiency and sustainability.

Dutch produced zinc, safe, without waste, and 100% on green energy, but what else can a zinc plant do than this? How can an electrolysis process contribute to the energy transition and what challenges are there to continue production now and in the long term and to be of value to the Netherlands in times when energy will only become more expensive? Nyrstar took participants through this story and show you how the industry can contribute to the energy transition.
