Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc. (MGC) is expanding its production capacity of Meta-xylenediamine (MXDA) in Europe to meet the market growth in the epoxy, polyamide and isocyanate sector. MGC will be constructing a 25,000 MTA plant in Rotterdam through its newly established subsidiary, MGC Specialty Chemicals Netherlands B.V. The new plant is scheduled to start its operation in mid-2024.
On behalf of MGC, Bilfinger Tebodin will provide the complete EPCm (engineering, procurement, construction and project management) scope for the new plant. “We are proud to work with MGC on this large-scale project,” says Kevin Pieterse, Regional Director at Bilfinger Tebodin. “With our experience in EPCm projects and integrated team of professionals, we ensure efficient management and timely delivery of the whole project.”
We have been working in very fruitful collaboration with MGC for the last three years going through permitting, conceptual and basic engineering. We look forward to continue our cooperation until mechanical completion and to see our design becoming a reality.
