The bulk trucks of the Agrifirm cattle feed factory in Oss have been loaded since the spring via the new contra set system designed by Bilfinger Tebodin. This has resulted in shorter waiting and loading times and also improved safety and accuracy.
Our company made the preliminary design of the loading system and carried out part of the tender. We did masterplan, conceptual and basic engineering and went through a number of stages during the engineering process to check whether Agrifirm's expectations were feasible.
Since the factory was built in 1986, Agrifirm's revenue has grown but the car loading system has hardly changed. With the new system, the loading time has been shortened by an average of more than one hour to a loading time of six to a maximum of ten minutes. In addition, the delivery accuracy has been refined to a maximum of 100 kg, the safety around the bulk block increased and the CO2 emissions reduced.
