We have the great honor of being nominated for the "Årets Helsefyrtårn 2025" by Abel. This is a brand new type of sustainability award that rewards companies that truly invest in their employees' health and well-being – and can show concrete results.
This award is the first of its kind in Norway. Instead of focusing solely on the environment or traditional CSRD (the EU's new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, CSRD, which will be introduced from the financial year 2024), this award highlights health as sustainability: How investments in the work environment and employee well-being pay off in the form of lower absenteeism, lower turnover, higher job satisfaction, and better recruitment. In other words, the award celebrates companies that achieve success for both people and the bottom line.
At Bilfinger ISP Offshore Norway AS, we are committed to promoting health and well-being in the workplace through a range of concrete measures. We offer digital health guidance via Abel, which gives employees access to personalized health information and support. Bilfinger also subsidizes training for all employees, regardless of where they live. In addition, we organize Bilfinger In Motion, weekly group training sessions at local sports centers, where employees can participate in joint training sessions that strengthen both body and community. Through corporate sports, we also offer opportunities for relay races, padel, golf, and participation in "Ten on Top" – local hikes and challenges.
We have a collaboration with Kolumbus to promote cycling to work. Through this collaboration agreement, we offer our employees incentives and support to choose the bicycle as a means of transport. The results of our health initiatives have been very positive. After implementing the measures, we notice a change among those who participate in the various activities. They experience increased mastery and recognition. Cognitive function and the ability to handle challenges have increased significantly.
These measures have not only improved the health and well-being of our employees but have also had a positive impact on our corporate culture. We see that a focus on health pays off – both for morale and for the business. Our success is a result of the strong team spirit and high engagement among our employees.
