Public private partnership: Bilfinger Berger reaches financial close on a ten fire station project in the United Kingdom

Bilfinger Berger is delivering ten new fire stations in the English county of Staffordshire on the basis of a public private partnership model. The project has an investment volume of €53 million and includes the design, financing, and construction of the facilities, as well as operations over a period of 27 years. Bilfinger Berger holds an 85 percent stake in the project company and is making an equity investment of €5 million.

Bilfinger Berger operates a range of public buildings in the United Kingdom: the Group's portfolio includes seven projects in the education sector and three projects in the healthcare sector. The Group is also a primary investor in two major transport infrastructure projects in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Total investment volume for Bilfinger Berger's project investments in the United Kingdom is €1.3 billion, with an associated equity commitment of €103 million.

Bilfinger Berger's global PPP portfolio now comprises 26 projects with a total investment volume of €6.4 billion and an associated equity commitment of €340 million.
