Bilfinger partnered with a confidential pharmaceutical client to develop a comprehensive Net Zero roadmap for two major production sites in the Netherlands. With ambitious sustainability targets ahead, the customer required deep technical expertise and a customized approach to identify the most impactful, achievable measures.

The Challenge

The client's targets for two sites in the Netherlands:

• 44% CO₂ reduction
• Scope 1 & 2 emission reduction by 2030
• Net Zero by 2045

Our Solution

Net Zero Approach:

• Roadmap with measures developed and selected during workshops.
• Preferred scenarios included multiple high-impact measures that will lead to achieving Net Zero in 2035 for both sites. 

Current Status

The roadmap is completed and the client will proceed with the internal approval procedure for the required investments. Bilfinger will be involved in the next phases of engineering.
