On site, the customer has its own steam boiler at its disposal to provide the necessary process steam for its production processes and to process the waste streams that are released.
The existing old steam boiler was at the end of its life, which was reflected in many unplanned downtimes due to leaks.
A new steam boiler was required that met a number of additional requirements regarding the fuel mix to be burned, emissions and sustainability requirements imposed by the national Dutch MEE+ pact.
Bilfinger Thermeq designed a tailor-made boiler concept and built and implemented it.
Scope of work
Engineering (conceptual, basic, detail, process, mechanical and E&IA).
Purchase/delivery of all necessary raw materials and equipment for the steam boiler with own designed burners and auxiliary equipment like skids, valves, pumps, fans, stack, ducting and piping.
Production in our modern workshop of the steam boiler and burners (incl. NDO, hydrotesting, NoBo, preservation, packaging & transport.
On-site assembly (incl. NDT, hydro testing, crane and hoisting operations).
Commissioning.
Key Figures
Steam boiler produces 45 t/hr superheated steam from 440°C at 36 barg. Burners fired with Natural Gas (NG), Teer (TAR) and a blend of some other waste streams. Boiler also future proof for hydrogen combustion!
