Successful expansion of a production facility during ongoing operations

Scope:
  • New construction and renovation measures within the existing facilities at the company's Frankfurt site
  • The implementation took place during ongoing production in an area subject to explosion hazards in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG).
  • The extension comprised five floors and utilized the existing upstream and downstream systems.

Bilfinger Solution: 

  • Implementation of all electrical, measurement, and control technology, including commissioning and integration into the existing plant.
  • All work was carried out in compliance with the highest safety requirements and without interrupting production.

  • Approx. 18,500 working hours
  • Approx. 38,000 meters of cable
  • Approx. 900 meters of cable trays and mesh ducts
  • Approx. 35 drives (up to 310 kW power)
  • Approx. 120 luminaires
  • Approx. 2,500 meters of air supply
  • Approx. 550 measuring points
