Facility Services wins significant repeat orders: Deutsche Bank, IBM, Alstom and EADS place their trust in Bilfinger Berger
Bilfinger Berger Facility Services has started the year 2009 with high volumes of orders received. Framework agreements with Deutsche Bank, IBM, Alstom and EADS have been renewed with a total volume of €360 million and contract periods of three to five years.
Deutsche Bank has extended a contract covering the technical, commercial and infrastructural facility management of more than 1,300 buildings. It includes the bank’s entire branch network, its headquarters in Frankfurt and more than 70 administrative buildings in Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Russia. For IBM, Bilfinger Berger manages buildings in 15 countries with a focus on Europe. Alstom has once again given Bilfinger Berger overall responsibility for the facility management of office and production buildings at seven different locations in Switzerland. And Bilfinger Berger continues to be responsible for the complete facility management of the administrative and production buildings of EADS at its site in Oberpfaffenhofen.
The development of Bilfinger Berger’s facility services business is benefitting from the ongoing trend towards outsourcing and from the increasing consolidation within the industry. As a result of the acquisition of the facility management activities of M+W Zander in 2008, the Facility Services division’s output volume will expand to more than €1.2 billion this year. Bilfinger Berger is the leading provider of facility management services in Germany and one of the five biggest companies in the sector in Europe.
