Expansion of capacity in power plant service: Bilfinger Berger acquires majority stake in industrial installation company Duro Dakovic

Bilfinger Berger has increased its stake in the publicly-listed Croatian industrial installation company Duro Dakovic Montaza from about 25 percent to a majority stake. The Group is acquiring an additional 50 percent of the shares from the Croatian state and will make a public tender offer for the 10 percent of shares that are in free float.

Duro Dakovic is a provider of industrial installation services in the power plant sector. The company is active across Europe and has a regional focus in Germany and Croatia. With about 1,000 internationally seasoned employees, the company generates an annual output volume of over €50 million. Bilfinger Berger Power Services has been cooperating successfully with Duro Dakovic for many years on power plant projects.

Bilfinger Berger expects continued strong demand in power plant service despite general economic weakness. The acquisition secures additional qualified professional staff for Bilfinger Berger and, at the same time, gives it a stronger market position in South-East Europe.
