Bilfinger Berger strengthens its position in the Swiss pharmaceutical industry: Company signs €50 million outsourcing contract

Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services is expanding its activities for the Swiss pharmaceutical industry. Within the scope of an outsourcing project, the company will take over a comprehensive range of services for Siegfried AG in the Swiss Canton of Aargau. Included in the agreement is the transfer of about 50 employees. The contracts have a volume of €50 million over a period of five years.

The outsourcing agreement gives Bilfinger Berger full responsibility for systems engineering at the Siegfried Group's main location in Zofingen. The traditional Swiss pharmaceutical company develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients and medications. The deal also involves the transfer of the renowned chemical defense school to Bilfinger Berger. The school is a one-of-a-kind training center for hazardous duty in the chemical and related industries.

The pharmaceutical industry is one of the strategic growth markets for Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services. The company is an important partner in this industrial sector and in recent years has gained a strong market position in Switzerland. Bilfinger Berger is also well-represented with its broad range of services in both German and French pharmaceutical centers.
