Mourad Jaihi, Project Manager

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: growth doesn’t happen where things feel comfortable."
A few years ago, I never imagined living and working in Qatar. Yet here I am in Doha, leading multidisciplinary projects, meeting people from across the world, and learning something new every day.
I’m Mourad Jaihi, Project Manager at Bilfinger. With a technical background and several years of experience in project management, I’ve always been driven by the challenge of connecting people, disciplines, and ideas to make complex projects come together.
I joined Bilfinger because it combines engineering excellence with international opportunity. When the chance came to relocate to Qatar, I knew it was a step worth taking — even if it meant leaving behind the comfort of the familiar.
Moving abroad wasn’t easy, but it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Working here has taught me to be adaptable, patient, and culturally aware. I’ve learned that real collaboration goes far beyond technical discussions. It’s about understanding how people think, communicate, and build trust.
What makes my role so rewarding is its variety. One day I’m in the office wearing a suit, discussing strategy and progress with clients, both locally and with our other offices in the region. The next day, I’m in full coverall and PPE, visiting our operational stakeholders in the field — from Ras Laffan in the north, to Dukhan in the west, and Mesaieed in the south. That balance between the boardroom and the field is what keeps my work dynamic and meaningful.
Bilfinger has played a key role in this journey. The trust and support I’ve received have allowed me to grow internationally while staying true to what I value most - teamwork, learning, and impact. Looking ahead, I’m focused on taking on more strategic responsibilities and helping shape how we deliver projects across the region.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: growth doesn’t happen where things feel comfortable. Sometimes the most rewarding experiences start the moment you say "yes" to the unknown.
