Nordic Mechanical Solutions, commissioned by NLI Contracting, has manufactured piping systems for four units intended for installation on offshore oil platforms.

About the project

The systems included:

Process Water Treatment (PWT)
Drain Water Treatment (DWT)
Sand Removal Process (SRP)
Fixed Foam Package (ML)

During the prefabrication phase, we received 2,200 pipe components and 650 meters of piping at our workshop in Ödsmål. The materials used were Titanium, SMO, Super Duplex and Duplex, all requiring exceptionally high welding quality and strict measurement tolerances.

It was therefore very satisfying that repairs or re‑welding requests amounted to less than 1% throughout the entire prefabrication process.

The installation of the piping systems was carried out at the client’s facilities in Larvik, Norway. Thanks to the precision and quality controls during prefabrication, only one pipe required adjustment during installation.
