Trends in Asset Management 2025
Efficiency &
Sustainability
The industry is facing major challenges in a volatile world with geopolitical conflicts, inflation, a shortage of skilled workers, increasing laws and regulations and the need for greater sustainability. These trends increase the demand for more energy efficiency, reduction of complexity, modernization through digitalization and well-trained experts.
The annual congress Trends in Asset Management 2025 will therefore focus on these two themes; Efficiency & Sustainability
Unique collaboration
This edition of Trends in Asset Management 2025 is special because it is the first edition under the joint Bilfinger flag following the acquisition of Stork by Bilfinger. The program will detail the added value of this acquisition in the perspective of the theme of efficiency and sustainability.
Program and speakers
This year's program of TiAM 2025 consists of several plenary keynotes by industry leaders and innovators and a number of interactive knowledge driven break-out sessions. We start the afternoon with a 'walking' lunch and end with drinks where there is ample opportunity to network and reflect with like-minded people from the industry.
More detailed information about the program and speakers will follow soon.

Dutch produced zinc, safe, without waste, and 100% on green energy, but what else can a zinc plant do than this? How can an electrolysis process contribute to the energy transition and what challenges are there to continue production now and in the long term and to be of value to the Netherlands in times when energy will only become more expensive? Nyrstar will take you through this story and show you how the industry can contribute to the energy transition.
Richard Schouten
Richard Schouten is manager asset management at Nyrstar where his knowledge in the field of asset management, digitalization, and sustainable production are in demand. Based on the conviction that the industry, with the help of digitalization and by making good use of the knowledge and skills of all employees, can become more sustainable and gain a strategic advantage, he wants to contribute to this by actually doing it, in practice.
He has 30 years of experience in various industries and positions, originally a marine engineer, then studied Business Administration, Computer Science and Sustainable Energies, and is a Registered Asset Management Professional at the Institute of Asset Management.
More information on the other keynote topics and speakers will follow soon.
Using a customer example, this workshop will discuss the aspects of sustainability and reliability and how these, combined with (Gen)AI, can help asset-intensive companies in terms of efficiency, among other things.
