Krapkowice, Poland. Bilfinger ISP Poland is proud to contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art sewage sludge treatment facility in the Flanders region of Belgium. The project, aimed at ensuring safe and sustainable disposal of municipal sludge, is led by Aquafin – the company responsible for wastewater collection and treatment across the Flemish region. The DBFMO contract for the new plant was awarded to FOSTER, a consortium formed by BESIX Group and Indaver NV.
As part of the turnkey solution, Doosan Lentjes is delivering a complete process line including a bubbling fluidised bed furnace, steam generator, multi-stage flue gas cleaning system, and a water-steam cycle. The mono-combustion process will enable the recovery of valuable phosphorus from the separated ash in a subsequent treatment step.
