On Monday 2nd September 2024, Bilfinger Engineering Qatar held a successful inauguration day in celebration of its newly expanded office. This is a significant milestone since Bilfinger entered Qatar market 20 years ago. Bilfinger Engineering has successfully increased business and staff in Qatar by 50% in 2024. Originally established with a team of 3 employees in 2003, the office has since evolved and is now counting 93 employees within Qatar.
Qatar's Oil & Gas industry and the HSE Consultancy’s growth is offering lot of new opportunities particularly in LNG production. With a strong focus on enhancing efficiency and sustainability, especially in the Oil & Gas and HSE Consultancy sectors, Bilfinger is perfectly positioned to support Qatar's ambitious energy transition goals. Located in Central Doha at Jaidah Square with 1,010 sq.m space, the office has received positive feedback from clients, reflecting Bilfinger’s strong commitment to excellence in engineering services. Bilfinger is supporting Qatar by integrating first class engineering in Qatar’s transition to cleaner energy sources. The diverse team includes key positions such as Operations Manager, Manager Engineering, Project Managers, Team Leaders, Project Control Engineers and Designers. Bilfinger Engineering Qatar also provides expert resources in all important disciplines such as Process, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation, Civil & Structural, Architectural, Loss Prevention, Piping, Pipeline, and other areas of expertise.
The inauguration day at the new office was filled with enthusiasm and anticipation as the Qatar Engineering Team, led by Operations Manager Srinivasa Gunturu, shared the company's outlook for the future. The ceremony of ribbon and cake cutting was done by Bilfinger’s President of Engineering and Maintenance International, Christian Rugland and Vice President of Engineering Middle East, Marco van der Linden, in the presence of CFO Middle East, Natalia Borodulina; Director Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals, Wouter Naaijkens, and Regional Director of Proposals, Majid Karbelkar. The event was also attended by most of the important Bilfinger delegates such as directors and managers from across the region, showcasing their full commitment towards Bilfinger Qatar Office and its clients and cascading the strong message of ‘One Bilfinger’ in Qatar.
The office's new look and feel are designed to embody the innovative spirit of Bilfinger Engineering, providing a state-of-the-art workspace that fosters collaboration and creativity. The event on Inauguration Day was graced by several prestigious Clients such as Qatar Energy, Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO), Al Balagh Trading & Contracting Co., Medgulf Construction Company, Petrocon ECC, Galfar Al Misnad Engineering & Contracting Co, Doha Petroleum Construction Co. (DOPET) and Design Engineering & Construction Co. (Descon). This event gave Bilfinger a chance to showcase the revamped office firsthand to their valuable clients and to make them understand the depth of expertise and resources available to them. This event not only reinforces the long term relationship with Qatar Clients, but also provides them with confidence in Bilfinger’s added value services in enhancing efficiency & Sustainability prominently in Oil & Gas and HSE Consultancy industries. Bilfinger Qatar showcased warm hospitality by hosting an executive lunch at the end of the event for their valued guests and clients.
