Bilfinger wins major Norwegian orders valued at €270 million

In the important Norwegian oil and gas market, Bilfinger has won orders valued at €270 million from longstanding customers.

“As a leading service partner to energy companies in the North Sea, Bilfinger focuses on cost efficiency, quality and an outstanding track record in occupational safety. Under difficult circumstances, we have managed to continue our longstanding cooperation with renowned oil and gas companies”, says Tom Blades, Chief Executive Officer at Bilfinger SE.

Key framework agreements have been extended with oil and gas group Statoil, the largest operator of production facilities on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. These agreements have a volume of roughly €110 million over the term of two years. The focus of the services provided by Bilfinger’s Oil and Gas division for Statoil cover insulation, scaffolding and corrosion protection.

The contract extensions relate to production facilities in the Oseberg, Snorre, Veslefrikk and Huldra oil and gas fields. In addition, Bilfinger has been awarded a new ten-year contract for the liquefied gas terminal on the island of Melkoya, near Hammerfest. Bilfinger has been present in Hammerfest with facilities for prefabrication, material storage and offices since the terminal went into operation ten years ago.

Bilfinger has also signed a new agreement for the maintenance of offshore facilities with another oil and gas company. The order has a volume of roughly €160 million over its five-year term. It has been agreed with the customer that further details will remain confidential.
