Bilfinger has delivered extensive scaffolding services as part of the construction of the topside for Aker BP's Munin platform at Aibel's yard in Haugesund.
Munin is a key component of the Yggdrasil development in the North Sea. It is an unmanned production platform and the first of its kind on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The platform will be operated remotely from shore using advanced digital solutions.
As part of the project, Bilfinger completed more than 250,000 work hours in scaffolding services. The work was carried out with a strong focus on health, safety and environment (HSE), quality, and efficient project execution.
The completed topside structure weighs 9,000 tonnes and measures approximately 62 by 42 metres, with a height of around 35 metres. Bilfinger's contribution helped ensure that the project was completed according to plan and prepared for transportation from the yard.
"We are proud of the dedication and expertise our employees have demonstrated throughout the project. This delivery highlights both our ability to execute large-scale projects and our commitment to safe and efficient operations," says Arild Nordstad, Project Manager at Bilfinger.
