Kamila Kaczmarzyk, Foreman, Industrial Insulation Fitter

It’s worth stepping out of your comfort zone and believing in your potential. This profession needs diversity and fresh perspectives – there’s definitely a place here for women who are ready to take on the challenge."

Meet Kamila, a forewoman and industrial insulation fitter who proves that technical professions are also a great space for women. Everyday, she combines work organization with quality control and team support.

How did you end up at Bilfinger?
I started working at Bilfinger as an insulation fitter. Over the course of three years, I gained experience and developed my skills. Thanks to the trust from both management and foremen, I was given the opportunity to learn the role of a foreman. This recognition allowed me to see industrial work from a completely new perspective.

What do you like about your job?
I appreciate the variety of tasks and the opportunity for growth. In addition to organizing work and assigning daily tasks to employees, I also carry out quality inspections of completed insulation. It gives me a sense of responsibility and influence over the quality of the projects we deliver.

What does your day usually look like?
Each day starts with planning and a conversation with the team. Then I assign tasks and make sure everything runs according to plan. Throughout the day, I perform inspections, support the team, and ensure smooth communication. The work is dynamic and very diverse.

What does the team look like?
We work in well-coordinated teams where everyone has a clearly defined role. Collaboration and good communication are key – only together can we achieve success.

How important is teamwork to you?
Extremely important. Teamwork is the foundation – without it, good results are impossible. Mutual support and open communication make daily challenges easier to overcome.

What does the future look like for you?
I’d like to continue developing toward a management role. I’m already learning many new things as a future foreman, but I know this is just the beginning. Bilfinger offers opportunities – you just have to be willing to take them.

Why should new colleagues come to work at Bilfinger?
Because it’s a place where you can grow, gain new experiences, and work in a great team. I would encourage other women to step out of their comfort zones – it’s truly worth it!

What advice would you give to women who want to pursue this profession?
Don’t be afraid to take the first step. Step out of your comfort zone and believe in your abilities. This industry needs diversity and fresh perspectives – and there’s definitely a place here for women who are ready to take on the challenge.

Kamila shows that in technical professions, it's not just experience that matters, but also the willingness to grow, openness to others, and readiness to take action. Thanks to people like her, teams work efficiently, safely, and with passion.
