Bilfinger partnered with a major global industrial company to develop and implement a comprehensive Net Zero roadmap across 15 sites worldwide. Covering Europe, Central America and Africa, we created a unified, scalable approach to significantly improve energy performance and reduce carbon emissions across all locations.

The Challenge

The customer set out to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions at a global scale, while ensuring consistency and long-term feasibility across a geographically diverse portfolio of sites. This required one harmonized strategy for multiple countries and the integration of consulting, engineering and execution.

Our Solution

• Global partnership with the Net Zero Approach.
• Bilfinger scope: Feasibility study, conceptual and basic design. Support for specific measures: detailed design, procurement and implementation.
• The partnership is a joint development in close collaboration with the customer. 

The Result

Through the implementation of identified measures, the customer achieves 200,000 tons of CO₂ reduction per year. The current status of the project is that Net Zero roadmaps have been completed for all 15 sites globally, and detailed engineering and execution are currently progressing at several selected locations.
