Bilfinger Strengthens Nordic Presence With Acquisition of Nordic Mechanical Solutions AB

Bilfinger acquires Nordic Mechanical Solutions AB, complementing the Group’s service offering in the Nordic region
Expansion of regional capacities in piping & mechanical, turnarounds and brownfield modifications answers growing customer demand, especially in the energy industry
Acquisition in line with Bilfinger strategy to enhance efficiency and sustainability with a comprehensive solution portfolio in all regions

Mannheim, Germany. Industrial services provider Bilfinger has reached an agreement with Induroc AB (managed by Granitor) to acquire Nordic Mechanical Solutions AB. The transaction includes a total of seven facilities with more than 170 employees and yearly revenues of approximately €40 million. The corresponding contracts were signed on July 14. Closing is subject to competition authority approval and expected to take place in the second half of 2025.

Nordic Mechanical Solutions operates from offices and workshops in the Swedish cities of Stenungsund and Gothenburg as well as from Tønsberg, Norway. The company specializes in maintenance, mechanical & piping fabrication and installations as well as turnarounds, providing services to customers in the process and energy industries.

The bolt-on acquisition is in line with Bilfinger’s strategy to be customers’ No. 1 in enhancing efficiency and sustainability. Nordic Mechanical Solutions’ highly skilled workforce will expand Bilfinger’s capabilities in the Nordic region. By capitalizing on Nordic Mechanical Solutions’ references, Bilfinger will benefit from growing demand in the energy and water infrastructure sectors.
