Bilfinger Berger extends agreements with premium facility management clients

With yet another success, Bilfinger Berger has solidified its position as a provider of top-class real-estate services for renowned major clients: for the fourth consecutive time, IT company IBM has extended an agreement for the complete facility management of more than 200 properties in 15 countries in Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Middle East. The contract covers a period of four years.

The renewed contract signing follows a trend toward awarding the management of entire property portfolios. In addition to IBM, Bilfinger Berger also manages the international real-estate portfolios of other major clients such as Deutsche Bank, EADS and Alstom. The framework agreements with these companies currently have a total volume of more than €500 million with contract periods of between two and five years.

Beyond the traditional FM business, increasing demand for qualified consulting is also recognizable, particularly for the improvement of energy efficiency in buildings. In this regard, Bilfinger Berger is also responsible for energy management at IBM and advises the company on sustainable energy supply, environmental protection or in the construction of modern data centers. With "Smarter Buildings", IBM and Bilfinger Berger are jointly developing and researching the intelligent, energy-optimized building of the future.

With an annual output volume of more than €1.4 billion, Bilfinger Berger is the largest German provider of facility services. With a seamless service range, the company offers optimal economic solutions for the real estate portfolios of its clients.
