Strong growth in health-care sector: Bilfinger Berger receives major orders in Australia with a volume of €250 million

Bilfinger Berger has received a series of major orders in the Australian health-care sector. In Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney the Group will build hospitals and medical research facilities with a total volume of €250 million. Bilfinger Berger has an excellent position in this important sector. The Group has already realized numerous major projects, including privately-financed concession models.

Demanding architecture and complex building technology present significant challenges for the new construction, expansion and revitalization measures. A portion of the work will be carried out while the hospitals are operational and procedures cannot be disrupted.

Australia remains Bilfinger Berger's largest building construction market. With about €900 million, output volume in 2007 will be equal to the prior year level. High demand allows the Group to carefully select projects on the basis of earnings and risk considerations.
