Lifecycle service for industrial plants:
Bilfinger Berger acquires design specialists Peters Engineering

Bilfinger Berger has acquired Peters Engineering, thus expanding its value-added chain in the Industrial Services division. The company is specialized in the design of plants and systems for the process industry. Peters Engineering works with well-known companies in the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries. The company generates €20 million in output volume with about 300 employees. Bilfinger Berger has initially acquired a majority stake of
51 percent from the management of the company. Both sides have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.

Peters Engineering provides design services for the maintenance, expansion, conversion and construction of industrial plants. The company, which is located in the German city of Ludwigs-hafen, has a leading market position in Germany. With this acquisition, Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services strengthens its engineering know-how and the client’s growing demand for services over the entire lifecycle of production plants can be better met.
