Women at Bilfinger: the X-Company Program

The objective of the X-Company mentoring program is to support women in their desired career paths as managers. To this end, Bilfinger cooperates with other companies in the Rhine-Neckar and Rhine-Main regions of Germany. Cooperation partners include Heidelberger Druck, KPMG, SAP, MVV Energy, EVO and TE Connectivity.

In the X Company Mentoring program, managers from participating companies, as mentors, form tandems with a talented employee from one of the other partner companies. The exchange offers advantages for both sides: mentors and mentees can reflect on their own company values by experiencing another company's culture and, as a result of the change of perspective, develop themselves both personally and professionally.

The mentoring program was launched in 2012 as a pilot program at Bilfinger SE headquarters. It is part of the "Women at Bilfinger" project and will help to attract more women for management positions. It is Bilfinger's goal to have at least 15 percent of all management positions Group-wide occupied by women by 2020.
