Bilfinger Berger preferred bidder for concessions project in Scotland

Bilfinger Berger has further strengthened its position in the concessions business in the United Kingdom. In the Scottish county of Clackmannanshire, a consortium led by the Company has been selected as preferred bidder to design, finance and construct three new secondary schools and to operate them for a period of 32 years. The project volume amounts to €100 million.

The United Kingdom is currently Bilfinger Berger's most important market for public building concessions, presently the portfolio comprises eight projects. Bilfinger Berger is pursuing a long-term growth strategy in the Concessions business segment. "Even today, the relatively young business is already contributing a positive value added and will provide a significant share of our net profit in the long term", stated Herbert Bodner, Chairman of the Executive Board at Bilfinger Berger.
