Changes on Executive Board of Rheinhold & Mahla AG:Thomas Töpfer succeeds Bernd P. Kröger as Chairman

The Supervisory Board of Rheinhold & Mahla AG has appointed Thomas Töpfer, 42, as the new chairman of the company's Executive Board, effective on July 1. He succeeds Bernd P. Kröger, 63, who is taking his planned retirement.

Mr. Kröger, who headed Rheinhold & Mahla for five years, played a key role in building the company into a leading provider of industrial services in numerous European countries. His successor, Mr. Töpfer, joined Rheinhold & Mahla in 1995. Since 2001 he has been a member of the Executive Board, where the fast-growing technical services segment was among his areas of responsibility.

The Supervisory Board also announced that Dr. Friedrich Schneider, 42, up to now a member of the executive management of Bilfinger Berger AG's Civil division, is to become a full member of Rheinhold & Mahla's Executive Board on July 1. Joining the Executive Board as a deputy member at that time will be Timur Tavas, 36, who until now has been in charge of special projects at Bilfinger Berger Group headquarters.
