Bilfinger Berger sells construction-material activities

As a part of the Group's strategic reorganization, Bilfinger Berger has sold its construction-material activities to Tarmac Central Europe GmbH, which is part of the British Tarmac Group. The sale will take effect after receiving the approval of the antitrust authorities. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

At the beginning of the year, Bilfinger Berger announced that it would dispose of its construction-materials business. The operative companies involved are gathered together in a holding company and have material resources in eastern Germany and the Czech Republic, as well as concrete and asphalt mixing plants. With a total of 380 employees, revenues of close to €50 million are anticipated this year.
