Bilfinger Berger Group has made no donation to the Cologne SPD

An inspection of documents dating back to 1994 has confirmed that the Bilfinger Berger Group has not made any donations to the Cologne SPD. At Bilfinger Berger, donations to political parties require the approval of the Executive Board. During the period in question, no approval of this kind was either sought or issued.

The company is unable to comprehend the reason behind press reports that Bilfinger Berger has made a donation to the Cologne SPD. Internal procedural checks are still going on. If employees have donated money to a particular party without authorization, this would entail serious consequences.
