Bilfinger Berger Magazine 2/2008

The state of Lower Saxony has placed a contract with Bilfinger Berger to upgrade the A1 autobahn. The company will handle financing and design work as well as construction, and will operate the 73-kilometer section for a period of 30 years. During this period Bilfinger Berger must ensure availability of the highway and will in return receive a part of the truck tolls from the route. With an investment volume of €650 million, this is Germany’s largest PPP project.
