Wind power for Denmark

Together with a Danish partner, Bilfinger Berger is constructing the foundations for Horns Rev 2, the world’s largest offshore wind farm off the west coast of Denmark. The farm is expected to supply enough energy to meet the needs of 200,000 homes. The foundations for the 91 wind turbines are being laid in the open sea, some 30 kilometers from Esbjerg. The client is Danish utility Dong Energy. The order further consolidates Bilfinger Berger’s position in the promising offshore business.
