Construction boom

Through Abigroup, its Australian subsidiary, Bilfinger Berger has received two major orders worth a total of € 250 million. In Queensland, the company is to build a 100-kilometer long pipeline and pumping stations for the region’s water supply. The order, based on an alliance contract, has a volume of € 180 million. Bilfinger Berger has also received an order to build an additional section of the Hume Highway that connects Sydney and Melbourne. With a volume of € 70 million, the project involves modernizing and widening a 16- kilometer long stretch of the highway that will provide relief for the nearby towns and villages from heavy traffic. Bilfinger Berger has already expanded other parts of the Hume Highway in recent years and is responsible for the long-term maintenance of individual sections.
