This bridge, the second to span the Panama Canal, is making an important contribution to Panama's development. Bilfinger Berger needed only 27 months to erect the 1,052-meter-long cable-stayed bridge.
On this technically demanding structure, the roadway is supported by 128 steel cables suspended from two 178-meter-high bridge towers.
